What is co-marketing?

Co-marketing refers to the collaborative marketing process where one or more businesses with similar audiences work together to promote each other to their collective audiences. Each business gains exposure to new customers who discover their businesses through warm introductions from companies they already trust.

Real world examples of co-marketing include companies sharing an exhibition booth at a tradeshow, including flyers for each other in their product packaging, and directly recommending each other when speaking with their customers.

Digital marketing examples of co-marketing include companies writing guest blog posts for each other’s blogs, showing advertisements to each other’s online audiences, mentioning each other in their email newsletters, or recommending each other via social media.
